About Zudo

Effortless Group Payment Collection

Zudo helps organizers collect, track, and manage money for group events — from fantasy leagues to golf trips. No spreadsheets. No awkward reminders. Just smooth payments and automatic updates.

Organizer-Controlled Reminders and Updates

All messages are sent only when an organizer chooses to notify their group — like payment reminders or payout details in a group text. Zudo never sends messages on its own and never markets to users.

Purpose-Built for Group Events

Zudo is designed for event-specific use: things like entry fees, group payments, and who-owes-what updates. It's not for mass messaging — just the info your group needs, when they need it.

How Zudo Works

Fantasy Football League

A league commissioner creates a fantasy football league in Zudo and adds participants by Name with the option to enter phone number and/or email. The commissioner uses Zudo to keep track of who has paid and can send payment reminders and league updates to participants. Participants receive messages like payment due dates and league announcements. All messages are transactional and initiated by the commissioner.

Beach House Weekend

A group of friends is planning a shared beach house rental. One person creates the event on Zudo, enters the cost per person, and adds each participant to the group. The organizer uses Zudo to track payments as well as send payment reminders. If someone hasn't paid by the deadline, the organizer can send a reminder through Zudo.

Super Bowl Squares Game

An office runs a Super Bowl squares pool. The organizer creates the grid using Zudo, sets a price per square, and builds an invite list using Zudo. The organizer can then send the invite to the group to see if they would like to participate, the note would include a link taking a potential participant to a site to sign up and join the squares game. The organizer uses Zudo to send messages about payment status, and winner notifications. All messages are directly related to the event and initiated by the organizer.

SMS Platform & Compliance

How Our SMS Platform Works

Zudo provides a messaging platform that enables event organizers to send transactional SMS messages to participants. Here's how it works:

Example Message Flow:
Organizer creates event → Adds participants to the event or group → Uses Zudo to send payment reminders → Participants receive transactional messages

Important: No Direct Opt-In Collection

Zudo does not collect direct opt-ins from message recipients. Instead:

  • Organizers add participants and their info during event setup
  • Organizers confirm they have permission to contact each participant
  • All messages are transactional and event-specific
  • Recipients can opt-out by replying "STOP" to any message
Sample Transactional Message:
"Hi Brendan, your payment of $50 to Ted for the '2025 Golf Trip' is due by July 25. View details and pay here: https://zudo.app/pay/1234

Sent via Zudo. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."

Message Types: Payment reminders, event updates, payout notifications, and other event-related communications.

Opt-Out: Recipients can opt-out at any time by replying "STOP" to any message or contacting us at info@zudoinc.com or 410-562-6216.

Privacy: Phone numbers are only used for event-related messaging and are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
